PRIVACY POLICY
Your letters stay yours.
This policy explains what Get Unscrambler processes, what stays on your device, and how future advertising or measurement features would be handled.
1. Information we process
Letter searches. The word solver runs in your browser. The letters you enter are checked against word-list files on your device and are not submitted to Get Unscrambler for solving.
Device-local data. Favorites, solve count, daily-puzzle progress, streak information, and cookie choices may be stored in your browser’s local storage. This information stays on that browser unless you clear it.
Basic technical records. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may process limited request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and error or security events. This helps deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the site.
Messages you send. If you contact us, we receive the information in your email and use it to respond, investigate issues, and maintain appropriate records.
2. How information is used
- Provide and maintain the word solver and editorial guides.
- Remember settings and progress on your device.
- Protect the site from abuse, fraud, and technical attacks.
- Respond to support, correction, and privacy requests.
- Understand site performance when optional measurement is enabled with an appropriate legal basis.
3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Get Unscrambler currently uses device-local storage for requested features and preference records. Optional analytics and personalized advertising are not active unless they are introduced and enabled in accordance with your saved choices and applicable law.
If Google advertising is introduced, a visitor’s browser may automatically share information such as the page URL and IP address with Google, and Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and how Google uses advertising cookies.
Where consent is required, optional technology should remain off until a valid choice is obtained. Before ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Get Unscrambler intends to use a Google-certified consent management platform and provide a way to withdraw consent. You can review the site-level choices stored by this browser on the Cookie preferences page. Google advertising choices can also be managed through My Ad Center.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell the letters you enter or the favorites stored in your browser. Limited technical data may be processed by providers that host, secure, or operate the site. If advertising or analytics providers are added, this policy will be updated to identify the relevant processing.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or respond to a valid legal process.
5. Retention and your choices
Device-local information remains until you clear site data or remove it through your browser. Contact messages and limited operational records are retained only as reasonably needed for support, security, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
You can disable or clear browser storage in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control. Email contact@getunscrambler.online with “Privacy request” in the subject.
6. Children, security, and changes
Get Unscrambler is a general-audience word tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the solver.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy as the site changes. A revised effective date will appear at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted when appropriate.
